商务英语翻译方法：分译法与合译法

　　分译法是将原文的一个句子（简单句或是复合句）拆开，译成两个或两个以上的句子以使语言符合逻辑，表意清楚。合译法就是将原文中的两个或两个以上的简单句，以 及复合句译成一个单句，这样译文会更加简练自然，语义清晰。翻译公司的译者在使句子的分译和合译是翻译过程中十分重要的方法。

　　【例 1】Developing countries seemed justifiably proud of their economic achievements.
　　译文：发展中国家似乎为他们在经济上取得的成就而自豪，这是合乎情理的。（副词分译）
　　【例 2】The documentary credit offers a unique and universally used method of achieving a commercially acceptable compromise by providing for payment to be made against documents that represent the goods and make possible the transfer of rights to those goods.
　　译文：跟单信用证提供了一种独特的、全世界都采用的方法，即凭代表货物的单据 付款，从而使货权的转移成为可能。这是一种商业上可以接受的折衷方式。（动名词短语分译）
　　【例3】We are, at present, very much interested in importing your goods and would
　　appreciate your sending us catalogues, sample books or even samples if possible.
　　译文：目前，我方对进口贵方产品很感兴趣。若能向我方函寄产品目录表、样品簿 或者在可能的情况下惠寄样品，我方将不胜感激。（并列句分译）
　　【例 4】The draft resolution, carefully drafted in moderate terms, which, despite its flaws, we shall support, is primarily an appeal.
　　译文：这项决议草案，精心草拟，措辞温和，首先是一种呼吁。尽管它有缺点，我 们还要支持。（定语从句分译）

　　【例 5 】As requested in your letter of the 5th March, we have the pleasure in handing you our latest price list of Cotton Goods with the lowest prices, which we trust will induce you to favor us with your valued orders.
　　译文：根据贵公司3月5日来函要求，谨将我公司棉制品最新的价格表寄上。这是 最低价格，我们相信它将获得贵公司的惠顾和大量订购。（定语从句分译）
　　【例 6】When I negotiate, I get nervous. When I get nervous, I eat.
　　译文：我在谈判时总是有些紧张。紧张时我就吃点东西。（把主从复合句合译成单句）
　　【例 7 】It is known to all of us that price, which should be carefully considered, is one of the most important factors in the international business activities.
　　译文：众所周知，价格是国际商务活动中应当认真考虑的众多重要因素之一。（定语 从句与句子后半部分合译）
